The Spanish film “My Fault” (otherwise known as “Culpa mía“) became a real sensation in the world of cinema.

Director Domingo González presented viewers with a gripping melodrama based on the first book of Mercedes Ron’s love trilogy. The book tells the story of the relationship between a half-brother and his sister. Already in December 2024, the production showed the second part. The third is promised soon.

The film stars Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara. Viewers follow 17-year-old Noah, who moves into a new home after her mother marries a prominent businessman. In this new environment, she meets her stepbrother Nick and the two develop a complicated and forbidden romance.

The film touches on themes of family ties, forbidden love, and personal secrets, as well as everyone’s favorite racing game, making it especially appealing to a wide audience.

The Success of “My Fault”

Streaming service Prime Video has announced the release of a British remake called “My Fault: London”. In this version, the leading roles will be played by up-and-coming actors Asha Banks and Matthew Broom. Filming has been completed in the UK, and the premiere is scheduled for 2025. A couple of other countries are also thinking about releasing the film for their audiences.

Interestingly, the British adaptation moves the action from sunny Spain to foggy London, giving the story a new cultural transformation and atmosphere. The plot follows 18-year-old Noa as she moves from the U.S. to England with her mother and her new husband.

In London, she meets her half-brother Nick, and a romantic relationship gradually develops between them. The plot is complicated by the fact that Noa’s father, recently released from prison, begins searching for his daughter, unaware of how much her life has changed. This episode adds new colors while trying to maintain the plot.

International Opinion

Opinion is divided. Some are sure that no one will film a better version than the Spanish one, while others, on the contrary, believe that in this way the countries reinforce interest and give the audience a chance to choose their favorite version, based only on their opinion.

TikTok users are actively sharing their expectations for the remake, noting that the British version may be better quality than the original.

Romance on Set

The Spanish version of the film “My Fault” gained attention not only for its gripping plot but also for the personal lives of its lead actors, Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara. The public was intrigued when it was revealed that they were dating in real life, sparking fan discussions about their on-screen chemistry extending off-screen.

However, their breakup shortly after the premiere led to rumors and speculation on social media about how their relationship might have influenced the filming and their careers.

At the December 2024 premiere of “My Fault,” fans noticed Nicole Wallace’s cold behavior toward Gabriel Guevara. On the red carpet and in interviews, she avoided interaction, maintaining a noticeable distance.

Rumours suggest lingering resentment, as their breakup reportedly involved personal conflicts. Sources claim Gabriel acted disrespectfully, which Nicole could not forgive.

During interviews, she avoided discussing their collaboration, focusing instead on the film and her role. Fans continue to debate what might have happened between the actors behind the scenes.

The story of “My Fault” continues to captivate audiences worldwide, blending drama, romance, and personal intrigue. With fans eagerly awaiting the third installment and the British remake set in London, the franchise promises even more excitement.
